SHIPPING

General Information

Baby in Gear will ship worldwide from our location in Aurora, Ontario, typically within 2 business days upon receipt of order. We ship using Canada Post or FedEx to safely handle your package and ensure a timely delivery. Orders shipped to Canadian addresses typically arrive within 2-7 business days to most major cities. Shipping fees are pre-set by region (within Canada) and out of country, and are automatically generated upon checkout. All shipping fees include basic insurance coverage and fuel surcharges. Please note that G.S.T. will be applied to all shipping charges.

NOTE: The recipient is responsible for any/all duties, taxes, and fees (if any) relating to all international orders (i.e. shipping outside of Canada).

Local Orders:

If you are local to Baby in Gear (Aurora, Newmarket, Markham, Stouffville, Richmond Hill, Sharon, and East Gwillimbury in Ontario), and you would like to pick up your order at our boutique, please choose the "Pick Up/Local Delivery" option during check-out.  You'll find our address on the "Contact Us" link.

Please Note:

  • Deliveries are made on business days, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
  • Statutory holidays may add an extra day to delivery times.
  • If we cannot fulfill your order within 2 business days, we will notify you via email to let you know.
  • Customers will be provided with a delivery confirmation number via email once their order has been shipped. In case of a delay we will notify you by email.
  • Special orders such as “made-to-order,” Personalized, or Drop Ship (orders shipped directly from our suppliers), may take longer to arrive. Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery. These items will be shipped separately from any other item(s) ordered at the same time and will arrive in a separate box.
  • Our shipping charges to Canada and USA are a flat fee per order, not per item.
  • Items shipped outside of Canada will be delivered via Canada Post with one flat fee.
  • When sending to more than one destination, separate orders must be placed.
  • Certain heavy or oversized items cannot be shipped outside Canada.
FREE SHIPPING ON ORDERS OVER $99

Our “$99.00+ Free Shipping” promotion excludes the following: Nunavut, Yukon, NWT, and the USA. Free shipping does not apply to sale items (unless stated otherwise), and is exclusive of additional oversized item charges. Our shipping rates and/or policies are subject to change and any changes will be made on this page.

Delivery Surcharge

Because some toys, furniture and other large items are bulky and heavy, our cost to ship them is higher than for other items. Therefore, these large items may have a delivery surcharge which is applied during checkout; this Oversized Charge is in addition to our regular delivery charges, which are listed under Standard Delivery Charges above. Please note that although some of the larger items do appear to contain significant shipping costs, we do our best to only pass a portion of our actual shipping costs onto our customers. A delivery surcharge on an item will be clearly outlined in their respective product descriptions.

Incorrect Shipping Information

If a package is returned to Baby in Gear Inc. due to an incorrect shipping address provided by a customer, the customer will be responsible for return shipping costs as well as the redelivery cost. If free shipping was applied, it will not be valid due to the error on the customer’s part, and the customer will be charged for all shipping costs.

Refusal of Delivery

Any order refused is charged a $20.00 fee and the customer is responsible for any other costs that are incurred during the delivery process.

Damaged Items

Baby in Gear is committed to providing the best quality merchandise from reputable manufacturers who stand behind the quality of their products. In addition, we make every effort to ensure that your purchases are delivered in good condition. However, in the event you receive a damaged item, please contact us within 2 business days of receipt of merchandise to report the problem. A customer service representative will advise you how to quickly and effectively address your concern. Please, do not ship your product back to us or to the manufacturer prior to contacting Baby in Gear.
